Kilcullen Carer and Toddler Group Wednesday 10.30 – 12.30 Parish Centre Room 3 www.kilcullentoddlergroup.com This month the Kilcullen Carer and Toddler Group have been busy as ever enjoying our usual fun-filled Wednesday mornings. Our numbers are growing every week and it’s great to see new faces joining us. Parents and toddlers alike are forming important friendships that are teaching us valuable lessons such as how to take turns and share and where to bring the kids on a chilly autumn day. On a seasonal theme our creative activities this month included mask making and spooky picture drawing – from the photos you can see that it was loads of fun. Hopefully our Halloween fancy dress party with tricks, treats and face-painting on the 28th will have been as frightfully successful!
__________________________________________________ Our website www.kilcullentoddlergroup.com is being expanded every month and now displays a very useful calendar for our upcoming events. When you visit us in cyberspace please click on the sponsors’ page and see the businesses (Berney’s Chemist, Manna Wholefood and Moresoft IT) who have generously contributed their services to our group. As with all voluntary groups these days, funding remains a concern so we are grateful to our supporters for enabling us to improve our facilities. ____________________________________________________ Kilcullen Carer and Toddler Group are planning to put together a general ‘Guide to Parenting in Kilcullen’, next spring. We want to produce a guidebook to Kilcullen and the surrounding areas that is written for parents by parents (of children of all ages). We need you to share your best tips about all aspects of parenting and raising children in our town. For example, we want to know what your favourite buggy-friendly walks around the town are, where do you venture for fun with older children? Do you have any experiences of choosing childcare or dealing with schools that you’d like to share? What are your best money-saving ideas? Do you have any advice about any aspect of being a parent in Kilcullen that you’d like to pass on? What are your concerns and hopes for children in Kilcullen? We’d love to hear from all Kilcullen parents - from first-timers to great-grandparents. To contact us with your suggestions, reviews and recommendations you can email guide@kilcullentoddlergroup.com, or you can drop in a note to a special mailbox in Kilcullen Community Library. Please include your name and contact details along with as much information about your tip as possible. We’re really looking forward to hearing from you all.
